Originally from the Isle of Man, Ben’s academic background is in economics and econometrics, finance, business administration and commercial law.
Prior to joining Greenard Willing in August 2013, Ben worked in credit and portfolio risk management, risk underwriting, trust and funds management administration, margin lending – and in relationship based roles within these areas.
Ben has gained a broad perspective of the finance and risk industry, both from time spent in the UK, (Standard Bank Stockbrokers / Standard Bank Trust Company, and Zurich Financial Services), and in Australia (Zurich Financial Services, and ANZ Institutional Bank).
Ben was most recently a Credit Portfolio Manager at ANZ’s Institutional Portfolio Management unit, with responsibility for making credit and hedging recommendations to optimise the Return on Equity (ROE) of ANZ’s $120B Global Loan Portfolio.
